ISLAMABAD, Oct 14 (APP): Jazz, the leading digital operator in Pakistan and a key player in VEON (Nasdaq: VEON, Euronext Amsterdam: VEON), has announced plans to relocate its headquarters from Amsterdam to Dubai.

In a recent news release, Jazz shared that moving to the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) will make VEON the largest Nasdaq-listed company with its Group headquarters in Dubai, which is also the home of Nasdaq Dubai.

“We at Jazz are excited about this strategic move, which marks a significant chapter for our entire group. Relocating our headquarters will enhance Jazz’s ability to speed up our ServiceCo and enterprise journey by tapping into Dubai’s status as a global tech hub and fostering innovation in connectivity and digital services for our customers in Pakistan and beyond.

This transition will boost our capacity to deliver cutting-edge solutions in connectivity, fintech, cloud, and cybersecurity, while promoting digital inclusion. By strengthening our partnerships and improving access to capital and talent acquisition, we can effectively bridge the digital divide and lead Pakistan’s digital transformation,” said Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz.

Kaan Terzioglu, Group CEO of VEON, added, “Relocating VEON’s headquarters to Dubai aligns our focus more strategically with key markets. This move allows us to leverage the immense opportunities that Dubai presents, including its proximity to our operations, access to top-notch talent, and increased visibility with a wide range of Gulf investors.

We are thrilled to announce this shift just as GITEX Global 2024, one of the world’s leading technology events, kicks off today in Dubai. This marks an exciting new chapter for VEON in a dynamic and thriving market.”

Jazz plays a crucial role in driving regional growth by offering innovative digital and financial services to millions of customers. The company contributes to the Group’s vision of empowering societies through enhanced connectivity and digital transformation, boasting over 71 million subscribers and more than 43.9 million 4G users across Pakistan.

Jazz’s digital ventures—JazzCash, Tamasha, Garaj, and SIMOSA—continue to lead the local sectors of fintech, entertainment, cloud, cybersecurity, and self-care in Pakistan.
